On Carnival Day, the ground floor of the Cultural Centre Valve
overflows with art and activities: In the festive atmosphere, you
can meet the Illustrator of the Year for Enchanted Words, Jenni
Erkintalo, whose works bring ambiance to the restaurant Valveen
Paljetti. The Kollektivet exhibition, featuring ten illustrators, invites
you to embark on an adventure between the covers of books, and
there are drop-in workshops where everyone can create their own
art. The festival’s bookstore Kirjava and the Oulu City Library’s
pop-up also serve in the carnival spirit. So, grab your library card or
get your own card from the pop-up!
